I know I’m going back many many years but I am making a very valid point. When I was in school there was no such thing as sex education, even in junior high or high school. What we learned was through intermingling with the kids we hung around with, rarely even from our parents and by natural evolution. The most astonishing results of the old school mentality, we did not see millions of young ladies walking around with swollen bellies. Giving birth to them – some abandoning them, others leaving them for their parents or grandparents to raise.
I am not suggesting, back then there was no sexual activity between the boys and the girls at a young age; what I am suggesting is, it was not nearly to the magnitude it is today with the skyrocketing promiscuity. Back in the old days (that I continually harp on) when did we ever see some nitwit mother buy her 11 year old daughter birth control pills??? Example is still the best teacher.
Point being, it is impossible to compare the quality of life back in the 40s and 50s as far as setting good examples, letting nature take its course and high moral standards. Any honest person can look at the results of these examples and say, they virtually are extinct /nonexistent today.
So the question is, should sex education in schools really be necessary; let alone to kids in the 3rd grade or younger?? I give a big thumbs down on it; on the other hand being realistic, we’ll have to agree it is necessary because of the epidemic of pregnancies, only taught at a proper age, not 1 – 2 – 3 grades.
We live in such a demented society, there are very few people our kids can look up to. One of the biggest culprits the sexual revolution was our esteam president, Wild Bill Clinton, who made the outlandish statement, oral sex was not considered having sex. Consequently the instances of oral sex in younger people skyrocketed. Why, because their president told them oral sex was not having sex. And to think this son-of-abitch said it with a straight face.
