‘Obamacare’ to Cost Twice as Much?

Can someone explain what all of these people in this picture are smiling about? They are running our country deeper and deeper in debt and they are smiling about it.

The original price tag on the Obama brain storm for health care in our country was nine hundred billion, not an “M” a “B” ($900,000,000,000.00). That amount in itself is enough to make anyone sick, so I don’t know why they are calling it health care?

This is a project figure that extends out to 2022 and the estimates already have doubled.  900,000,000,000 x 2 = 1,800,000,000,000. These figures are staggering and mind-boggling. How can we spend money like this when the country is broke?

Everyone that has a half a brain knows that anything the government gets involved in is always carte blanche, “money is no object”. So it is my guess if this preposterous plan does go the distance the final price tag on it will be at least four times its original estimate or more.

Is it possible that Obama is trying to shove his own beliefs down the throats of the American people and not trying to do what is best for the country? Is this an ego thing? I think so.

Putting gasoline on the dollars. This is the result of mis-management.

How much is the American dollar worth today? In 1913 you could buy as much with a dollar as you can with $22 in 2010. By 1920, the dollar was worth only half – about $10 in today’s value. Deflation (the opposite of inflation) during the Great Depression of 1929 increased the value of the dollar to $13. By 1940, the dollar was worth even more – it could buy as much as $15.57 could today.

By 1950, the dollar’s value had fallen back to $10. It has fallen ever since:

• 1960 = $7.67
• 1970 = $5.62
• 1980 = $2.65
• 1990 = $1.67
• 2000 = $1.27.

In the early 1900’s for every paper dollar the USA owned there was an equal amount stored in gold reserves to back it up. This was called the “gold standard”. That practice stayed in existence until Richard Nixon took the country off of the gold standard system in an attempt to pay for the Vietnam War. Somewhere else we didn’t belong. The logic of our leaders was; the only reasonable answer to a difficult question is “what do you do when you are running out of money, print more”.

Without the gold standard in effect the USA began printing more and more dollars not having the gold to back it up, which started the downward trend that eventually devalued the dollar to where it is today. There are different estimates but it is believed that the dollar, if it is lucky may worth maybe .60. At the rate we are going it has not reached the bottom.

As of this morning the national debt is $15,488,891,296,248.00 and counting.

Sometime I really wonder if the people on “the hill” really realize what dire straits this country is in or are they burying their heads in the sand hoping that by some magical power this will all go away.   

I was brought up to believe “if you can’t afford it and can’t pay for it you don’t buy it”. It seems that the “leaders” of the USA didn’t go to the same school I did. It is almost like they are playing with Monopoly money and it is not real to them.

They better remember the discovery of Isaac Newton. Whatever goes up must come down.

Maybe all of the big wigs should go into the woods and find a tree to sit under. Hopefully something will fall out of the tree, hit them in the head and  knock some sense into them? I really doubt it.

This health care plan of Obama is on its way to killing everyone. When it eventually runs it course, if it ever does,  there will no one left to use it.

The only real value I see in the plan is; a person can not be turned down for a pre-existing condition. That makes sense to me.
