Tim Cook the CEO of Apple came across as promised with a couple of new phones and a high tech watch to keep his company on top of the heap.
In one of the most ambitious product launches in its history, Apple unveiled two new iPhones, a smartwatch and a mobile payments platform on Tuesday.
They are the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that are bigger, rounder and faster. Just how much bigger, faster and much smarter do we want technology to get. Before you know it these instruments will be controlling the users.
As for the wrist watch, if that is what you want to call it, it is nothing new. I don’t see what all the fuss about is.
In 1946 a detective and crime stopper with the pointed chin named Dick Tracy had one he wore to assist him in fighting crime. I would say the old boy was a few years ahead of his time.
These new high-tech gadgets do everything possible to assist the owner in making their life easier but are getting so sophisticated that the users do not have to use their mind power anymore; the electronic gadget does all the work for them.
It has gotten to the point, especially with the younger generations that they have a hard time conversing verbally because of all the texting they have become so accustom to.
A guy I know was at his friend’s house for dinner. The friend had two daughters that were sitting at the table across from one another and they were texting each-other instead of talking.
With hip hop music, along with all the texting, the kids verbal communication skills are becoming non-existent or unintelligible.
As far as continuing to develop more and more sophisticated electronic technology, the old saying is “your strongest assets are eventually what will become you greatest weakness”.
Victor Frankenstein created a monster that was named Frankenstein after him. During the life of the monster Victor was subjected to living with all of the monsters’ reprehensible deeds that got completely out of control and almost killed him.
One day, all of these advanced devices in technology may just turn against its creators.
