Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and BMW of North America are pulling ads from “The O’Reilly Factor” after a report about five settlements with women who alleged sexual harassment or verbal abuse by the show’s host, Bill O’Reilly.
I hope for Bill O Rilley’s sake he didn’t burn all of his bridges. By the looks of it, he may be pounding the pavement by the end of the year, if not sooner. Many of his high-end sponsors are abandoning ship.
If he does get the boot, I don’t think he will miss any meals. It is estimated that the combo news commentator and author is worth about 70 million.
As I alluded to in my post yesterday; the only reason Fox was turning a deaf ear and a blind eye to O Rilley’s escapades is because he is a big earner. To me that is not a good excuse for allowing bad behavior. But as we all know it is always about the $oldi.
Through the years there have been 1,000’s of wealthy and influential horny old and young men trying to coerce the ladies into the sack with either threats, promises of success or the good old American dollar.
Years ago, many of them got away with their shenanigans because of the negative perception of the female status in this country. Times have changed. They still are not where they should be but the ladies now have a voice. With the advent of the electronic age of audio taping, videos, camera phones and the like, the ladies have new weapons to use against their aggressors.
The ironic thing about the elite Casting Couch Corps, these guy have enough $oldi to buy any trim they want. BUT, always the BIG BUT, they put themselves above everyone and it is their ego that finally puts them in a predicament they can’t get out of.
I find it very difficult to have respect for any man regardless of their status is that forces a women into having sex. Even if a hooker has the right of refusal.
